MSC World America to be Christened at a New Cruise Terminal in Miami

MSC World America will be MSC Cruises’ first ship in the U.S. market to be powered by LNG, a lower-emissions fuel, and the second ship in the cruise line’s innovative World Class, specially designed with the North American guest in mind, featuring unique experiences that seamlessly blend European design with American comfort. MSC World America spans 22 decks, measures more than 154 feet in width and offers top-of-the-line facilities that keep guests of all ages entertained. 

The ship will feature seven distinct districts, each with its own atmosphere, facilities, and experiences waiting to be explored. From a dedicated family district or tranquil zen area through to a lively promenade with entertainment, bars and shops - a world of options awaits guests of all ages to choose their own adventure and get the most out of their time on board. 
One of the new revolutionary experiences developed for MSC World America will be The Harbor - a brand new outdoor destination located on deck 20, specially designed for kids and families to gather, play and relax together. This new area has been thoughtfully designed to bring together all the components of the perfect family experience at sea in one convenient location. Combining a wide variety of wet and dry adventures, The Harbor includes activities such as the aquapark, interactive water features, intricate High Trail course or zip line, sensory play area for the little ones, as well as inviting areas to relax with delicious bites and cool beverages. With all this in mind, The Harbor promises the ultimate outdoor day at sea where the whole family can sit back, relax and enjoy the stunning sea views.

Twenty diverse bars, lounges and cafés will allow you to enjoy a handcrafted concoction, classic cocktail, a signature micro-brew or two at the Masters of the Seas classic British pub or order-made coffee served in French, Italian, Turkish or Moroccan styles to name just a few at the Coffee Emporium, a sleek modern coffee house that is any connoisseur’s dream. Grab a drink and watch the game on one of many TV screens in the new Sports Bar, while enjoying popular bar bites such as wings, sliders, dips or sides. In the evening, kick back, let loose and take life a little less seriously at the new Comedy Club, rivalling some of the best shows from New York & Chicago.

There are thirteen venues on board offering a wide choice of dining options and styles, including six specialty restaurants featuring popular international cuisines such as the Butcher’s Cut steakhouse, Kaito Sushi and Teppanyaki, and Hola! Tacos & Cantina and more. Four main restaurants serve globally inspired cuisine as well as familiar American favourites, two buffets offering casual dining choices, and Luna Park Pizza & Burger offering fast-food and quick snacks when the mood strikes.

A re-imaged outdoor World Promenade provides unique dining, lounging and entertainment options paired with stunning ocean views and unmatched LED light shows. A striking 11-deck-high dry slide made of stainless steel, gives you a fun way to reach the lower decks in style. Six pools and 14 hot tubs, including a spacious indoor pool with retractable roof and twin adults-only Zen pools at the aft of the ship, are available for your enjoyment. Kids will love the expansive water park with water slides that include a VR experience as well as Kids Clubs featuring dedicated facilities for age groups ranging from infants to 17 years old.
